Welcome to my first Top Ten Tuesday! This week's Top Ten topic is Childhood Favorites.
The list...
- Webster New Pocket Dictionary → My first book. Mom gave it to me as my bday gift. I don't know what edition was it; all I can remember was it has a brown cover with yellow font.
- Any Asterix book by René Goscinny
- Encyclopedia Brown series by Donald J. Sobol → The reason why I like mysteries.
- Sweet Valley Twins by Francine Pascal → My first taste of romance and friendship.
- Any Berenstain Bears book by Stan Berenstain & Jan Berenstain
- Any Clifford the Red Dog book by Norman Bridwell
- The Holy Bible → Mom bought for my brother at first, then became our family bible. Not sure if the version we have is either New James Version or New International Version. My fave books are the Deuterocanonical books (Sirach, Tobit, Esther).
- Reader's Digest Great Encyclopedic Dictionary → My father bought this when he was young. I like the third volume where I can learn some foreign phrases, on mythology, art, music, etc.
- Reader's Digest Write Better, Speak Better → Another book that my father bought in his younger days. I learned grammar, spelling and writing from it. Except for the speech part.
- Fairy Tales → Especially those that were turned into movies or TV series by Walt Disney.

Final Thoughts:
To be honest, my list is more like the Top Ten books that I remember reading from my childhood years than the Top Ten Favorite Books from Childhood. But I guess they became my favorites in one way or another. ^___^
