I'm doing a double - maybe a triple, if time (and my mother) will be kind to me - Top Ten today since I forgot to post them. :3
Movie adaptations....er, the last movie I've watched in a cinema was The Avengers because I was practically dragged by my brother's family to watch with them. While every night is a movie night in my house, I don't think my family and I share the same taste in movies except to some.
•The Best•
The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy
→The movie was the reason why I took another look on Tom Clancy books.
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
→Alan Rickman. And I barely remember anyone from this movie.
Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
→Mom's favorite. And I'm still looking for this book. Grr..
The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien
→The movie was overwhelmingly good that I really bought the books where I'm still stuck in The Fellowship of the Ring until now.
The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
•The Not-So Bad, Not-So Good•
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice
Twilight by Stephenie Meyers
→The only tolerable movie of the series and the reason why I cringed every time I see a vampire novel in the bookstore.
Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
The Ninth Gate (loosely based from the novel Club Dumas by Arturo Perez-Reverte)
→I still think they shouldn't remove the Dumas part of this novel, but the movie was bearable because of Johnny Depp and supernatural stuff. The woman was a bit annoying though.
•The Worst•
Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice
→Nope. I'm not going to raise the issue of Lestat not a blond here. I don't know. Comparing to IWTV, I would rather watch Interview than this one. But I like the book.
Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy
→Thought the movie was fine until I read the book.
Angels & Demons by Dan Brown
→My fave book of this author but the movie really ruined it.
The rest of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyers
→Don't ask.
