I'm still dizzy from the earthquake and the aftershocks are slowly driving me mad. But I'm trying to stay calm by writing and reading. /sighs

Okay. So....I love reading.

Everyone - my family, my friends, my relatives - knows that so it wasn't surprising if someone recommends me to a book or ask me if I already read a certain book.

Anyway, today's TTT is the ten books I was 'forced' to read.

My mother knows best...sometimes.

79 Park Avenue by Harold Robbins
(She kept on begging to buy this for her - and I'm glad I did because it was a nice read.)

Coma by Robin Cook
(The movie where she got my name but the book was okay, I guess. /shrugs)

Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon
(My mom's fave and the bane of my existence. I never, never like the fem MC.)

Was totally bored in a party or nothing to do and it's conveniently there...

Windmills of the Gods by Sidney Sheldon
(My first and my fave SS novel.)

Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss
(My second of this author - and the only one I read from start to end. XD)

Recommendations from friends or acquaintances...

Glittering Images by Susan Howatch
(A Christmas gift by my classmate in high school with a romance novel (a bodice ripper. XD). When asked why she gave this, she told me she liked it. But I did like it somehow. /shrugs)

The Perry Mason series by Erle Stanley Gardner
(My Math Club teacher recommend these series but I started reading during college.)

The Dollanganger saga by V. C. Andrews
(A friend recommended me this series after knowing that I've read My Sweet Audrina. Never read a book from this author ever since but I still like Audrina.)

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
(My last year's Secret Santa gift. )

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
(My last year's Secret Santa gift.)

  1. I've read a few Virginia Andrews books. I enjoyed them. I probably wouldn't reread them though. I enjoyed Gone Girl, despite the hype!

  2. Glad to know that you are safe and sound, if a bit shaken up (literally, right?). Cebu's a lovely city -- I hope the earthquake didn't do too much damage to it.

I've only read two of the books on your list. I loved both GONE GIRL and THE KITE RUNNER. Nice picks!
